Life: Love Invited For Ever

economic-recession

What is life ?….. They ask these days,

Is it of falling stocks or of broken hopes ?

Of boundaries not reached, frontiers not conquered,

Or of failures and disappointments ?

‘We live in uncertain times, and we have to compromise’

yells statesmen over times yonder,

can’t help but ponder of a period so bad,

being sleepless with crushed dreams,

brood incessantly over a past so good.

Pointless and blank were the debates,

Of what went wrong and bad,

Of what should have been done and never was did,

Fed up, to a point of no return,

Decided I did to leave this fulcrum,

Of capsized aspirations and wrecked aims.

Without a goodbye, ran into the night,

Self, but alone, never for once looking back.

Running the travails till where I felt tired and I stopped.

Looking around to this new surrounding,

Trees lined along each side outlined by streams of water,

that crossed the vicinity with boundless grace,

A light so bright shone through the pristine valor,

leading me to an area of unimaginable splendor.

Fell down, I, to my knees unhesitatingly,

Looked up to a God that led the way,

So far, so good, to this life,

the love that is invited for ever,

which remains either you go higher,

nor to abyss so lower,

the love remains…….

“God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons we could not learn in any other way. The way we learn those lessons is not to deny the feelings but to find the meanings underlying them.”  Stanley Lindquist
